Hotmail problems - Hotmail service unvailable or down due to Microsoft issues
Earlier on Tuesday, millions of Windows live members were
experiencing Hotmail problems. The Hotmail
service unavailable message occurred earlier due to some
Windows identification service issues. Microsoft analyzed the technical
issues and worked on a fix. Although Hotmail service was down
and not working earlier, it appears Microsoft has now resolved
the problem for the email service at the very least.
The Hotmail
issues would affect anyone using Microsoft's Windows Live ID service,
which includes services such as Hotmail or instant messaging. Also,
anyone trying to create a brand new account for the popular Xbox Live
online world would have been affected. Luckily, the problem has now
been fixed for Hotmail users at least. The Windows messenger problems
may still be occurring as of this post.
Yesterday a similar
problem was affecting the Xbox live servers, with many customers finding
the servers were unavailable or down, especially in relation to the
Modern Warfare 2 online game. Company spokesman Ted Roduner offered an
apology for any inconvenience caused by Tuesday's Hotmail problems.
With Hotmail service unavailable it was frustrating earlier
for anyone looking to get their email from the free service. Also,
those who use instant messaging were likely irritated by the fact Hotmail
wasn't working earlier. Microsoft's hotmail service offers
users a free email account along with storage space, phone access
features, calendars, contacts, spam protection and more.
Microsoft's
free Hotmail product competes with Gmail by Google and Yahoo!'s Mail
service, leaving many customers pondering if maybe they should be
switching to a new service with Hotmail down. source
